My name is Kelly Travis

Yes, I’m a career strategist and wellness coach. And a Certified Enneagram Practitioner. Yes, I lead individuals, groups and organizations to their success.

But also? I’m a badass mental health ninja. I’m not one of those people who blows steam up everyone’s ass only to leave you hanging on a thread of “what’s next.” I actually fully embody the importance of prioritizing mental health and wellbeing while working towards personal and professional growth and change.

Because when you feel good, you can do a hell of a lot more.

It wasn’t that long ago that I was working within Corporate America, the publisher of a successful major magazine in town, hustling to continue to move up the ladder and reach milestones within my industry.

But…

I felt like crap. I was living on processed foods, working myself to the ground, in a toxic relationship, stressed to the max and had very low self esteem.

Yet, the perception was that I had it all together.

I was training for the Olympic trials, I ate a lot of vegetables, and I “looked” healthy.

No one knew the truth: I was unhealthy, taking care of everyone (except myself), and keeping a lid on my dreams and desires.

As you can imagine, it had profound consequences on my personal and professional life.

And then, I had one of those moments there’s no coming back from. I found myself staring at two lines on a pregnancy test and in one brief moment I went from shock and disbelief to FULL ON fear.

I knew I was a hot mess and that if I was going to bring a child into this world I needed to get my health in order ASAP.

But maybe like you, I didn’t know where to start. No clue.

In my previous life, I had dropped out of school, given up my athletic career and was admitted into a hospital for a severe eating disorder.

While I “recovered” and maintained a healthy weight for the 12 years in between – I never actually did the internal work necessary to shift from surviving to thriving. I didn’t know how to listen to my body, let alone respond.

So I was still unhealthy and unhappy and the self talk was BAD.

Can you relate?

You may not have had a “bathroom floor moment”, but I bet you have your own struggles.

That night on the ground in my bathroom was the first of a slew of events and health issues that started the journey.

And that night was when I had a long talk with myself...what will you choose? To participate in your whole life or fear life and ignore what you want and need?

I chose to participate.

It was the first time I gave myself permission to focus 100% on my me - my wellbeing, my career and my relationships - and to stop wasting time, stop doing things that zapped my potential, and begin shifting my negative perception of myself into a more positive one.

I got my health together first (Pro tip: that’s where everyone needs to start). I launched my business, left toxic relationships in the past, and took unapologetic action to create the life I wanted with my kids.

Do you see the theme here? One step in front of the other and little things turn into big ones.

My Mission…

Is to help ambitious people recognize their individual value and worth, create big ass goals, and kickstart the action to make them happen.

Look, I’m a little tired of our society making it sound like it’s some kind of sexy to show up in life and do what’s expected and accept what you’ve got. What would happen if you actually listened to that inner voice that pleads with you to make a change, to go after that big scary goal, to take better care of yourself? The truth is, you won’t know until you try.

Sara pours all of her energy into managing projects so she doesn’t have to face the fact that her health and wellbeing is a disaster. Michelle is ready to apply for that next level role in her company, but she needs to work on her confidence and leadership skills, and that scares her. Julie has a great job and support system, and works out five days a week, but she feels stuck and doesn’t even know why. She just knows there’s something off and it’s time for a change.

It’s no fun settling for “good enough”. If you know it’s time for an upgrade in your life so you can stop hiding from the things that make you miserable, it can be done.

My Motto: There isn’t ONE answer.

Look, there’s not a single person that doesn’t have the power to create something wonderful. The problem? Most people are chasing other people’s goals and/or following a cookie cutter plan. What works for one person isn’t going to work for another, so when it comes to leveling up and creating change — you have to do what works for YOU.

I’ve got my own approach, and you know what it is?

I meet you where you are. We do a deep dive into your personality, your core motivations, strengths and fears. I ask a lot of questions to get you to start thinking about your habits, your mindset and your goals. After all of that, we figure out what YOU want to achieve (not what you think you should want). And, because I’m an athlete, we create a plan that is sustainable and will allow you to see little wins along the way. There aren’t any quick fixes here. We want change to last longer than 30 days. OKAY?

What I want for you…

Is to realize that you are SO capable of doing whatever it is you’ve been sitting on for whatever reason (fear, apathy, freaking living through 2020). Humans are meant to expand. When they do, their impacts expand too.

Which means, it’s time to stop hiding behind the “old school” ways of ignoring the parts of your life that you’d rate as a big fat zero and finally taking actionable steps your mind and body are meant to take.

And hell, there’s nothing better than watching people expand, knowing that they’re going to shake their communities up with something massive and amazing.

So how about it? Want to learn more? Complete this form and we can talk.

"I have become much more self-aware in all aspects of my life—from how I feel physically to the way I talk to myself to everything in between. This awareness has helped me shift my mindset when needed and take the steps needed to move toward my personal and professional goals."

“You are playing small”— among the most honest and powerful words any friend, mentor, or coach has ever said to me. And it has been these insights in my work with Kelly that have really inspired me to look deeper and aspire for more, both personally and professionally. Now I believe that it’s okay for me to want the things I want.”
